PRAKTIK UNHEALTY DIET PADA REMAJA PUTRI
Unhealthy diet is a major concern among adolescents that affects their nutritional and health status. The aim of this study was to identify unhealthy diet practice among senior high school female students. A cross-sectional study was conducted in five senior high schools in Malang, with 188 female students selected by simple random sampling. Information about unhealthy diet status were collected from interviews, food consumption frequency by Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) and nutrition status by measuring the weight and height. This study found that 22.34% (95%CI: 16.33-28.35) senior high school female students in Malang did unhealthy diet, 64.29% had a normal body mass index. From the result of bivariate analysis with t-test, it was found that significant difference in mean frequency of food consumption based on unhealthy diet status and there is a relationship between nutrition status with unhealthy diet status (p value <0.001). This study highlights the importance of healthy diet for female adolescents. Strategic approaches and development programs related to nutrition and reproductive health are needed to prevent nutritional problems in adolescents.
